MUJV capability includes Water, Power, Wastewater and Gas. Utility projects are delivered to support expansion and growth. Utility operation and maintenance activity ensures continuity of supply and resilience.

Power

Management of local network from HV intake substation to individual customer’s cut-out and meter
Lifecycle and upgrade of HV and LV infrastructure to optimise asset resilience
Street Lighting – design, installation and maintenance to achieve lux levels for safety, conformity and local planning requirements.

Water

Potable Water – We ensure safe and continuous supply of drinking water
Foul Water – We ensure that waste effluent is carried through our network to appropriate treatment facilities
Surface Water – We ensure that rain water is collected and managed to prevent flooding

Gas

Low and Medium pressure gas networks to adoptable standards.
Managing and co-ordinating non-contestable works with the DNO.
Low Pressure Gas – We install and maintain gas networks, which includes FIM testing and reactive response.
Medium Pressure Gas – We carry out medium pressure gas works where agreed with the DNO.

Design

At MUJV we deliver comprehensive utility designs, ranging from high voltage networks, pumping stations, gas infrastructure, sewer systems and large storage tanks.
Build-ability, whole life costing, value for money, integrated design and resilience are key to our approach.

Build

We deliver individual projects through to multi million pound major works programmes. We often install utilities infrastructure as part of design, build, operate and maintain contracts.Our infrastructure is installed to the highest quality and safety standards.

Operate

We use a dedicated back office and specialist site staff to ensure continuity of supply. Responding to network issues such as power cuts, blockages and leaks. We ensure the network is back up and running within defined timescales.
We carry out continual operational inspections and quality testing to ensure the highest standards of supply and network resilience. We use the latest network sensing technology for live network performance data.

Maintain

At We carry out planned maintenance and lifecycle programmes as part of our asset management approach. In addition, we provide reactive maintenance to assets which are identified as failed or failing. Our back office team manages all the noticing and liaison requirements.
